yesterday was Teenage Icon 2008 2nd heat(1st heat was on saturday) @ Heeren...
hmm..
very fascinating competiton...
cos all 40 contestants really had great voice and talent!!!
haha =PP
it was a tough competition...
and only 12 from each heat will be choosen to preliminary to semi-final!!!
dat's mean 28 will hav to bid this stage goodbye!!!
sad right?!! =XX
at least last yr, 4 more contestant were able to make it the semi...

anyway...
yesterday was also my show...
to be exact,
MAVERIC AND MY SHOW!!!
haha..
cos we singing duet..."ban sheng shou" by penny and pin guan...
can i say...
we did a splendid job!!!
haha =DD
sounded very 'tfts'(thick face thick skin...credit to cheyu!!!haha)
but...
dat was wat everyone, who watched our performance commented!!!
haha...

anw...
christy told me dat when i first went up the stage...
ppl behind her were commenting dat i look super natural..
no sense of nervousness detected!!!
i treat dat as a compliment huh?!!haha =PP
but when i started singing my 1st line...
there's a little nervousness heard...
haha
well...i admit i am!!!
didnt wanna make it heard...but cant help it, can i??!
LOL
but the rest was REALLY GREAT!!!
though it was a competition,
but i enjoyed it...
as if it was my performance, my show, my concert!!!
haha
and everyone(ppl who we know n dont) comment dat it was a really sweet performance...
we actually managed to bring the sweetness out perfectly...
which the audience can feel it...
and the judges applauded too!!!
ohmygosh...
dat's a honour, a success!!!haha
most ppl guessed dat we were a couple...
but apparently, we were not..but very good friends instead!!!
haha ^o^

after our performance,
everyone came to congrate us...
assuring us that we will get thru to semi-final...
but when the result was about to be announced,
jack(knowing the result) actually walked over and say "good luck" to maveric!!!
well...
how do u interpret this???
is it a good sign or bad thing???
so we start to worry..
cos..if we had gotten in,
jack dont hav to say "good luck" right?!!
well..
so i assured mave that...
"even if we didnt make it thru, it's nt dat our performance is not good(cos when all 3 judges applaused for it, it cant be bad right?!!)...
but maybe bcos we already were the finalists for last yr solo(this yr we joined as duet)...
so they wanna give others a chance!!!"
"plus...it's the process dat matter and not the result!!!"
ok...
i noe the last statement doesnt sound as convincing...
i mean...
who dont really care for the end-result??!
no matter how exciting, how fantastic was the process...
eventually if the outcome wasnt what it's hoped to turn out...
disappointement cant be avoided right?!!

anw...
40 of us were divide into 4 grp of 10 each...
well, since we were no.31,
we were obviously in the last grp...lol
jack said most ppl in our grp entered semi..
but dat doesnt relieved the both of us anyway...
so when it's our grp turn to go up on stage and receive the verdict,
all of us held hand...
like a human chain..
and walked up on stage!!!
even the mc was like...
"wow...they were so united!!!"
haha..
and we were the 1st among our grp to step out and receive the verdict...
"so do you think they should enter the semi???", the mc asked the audience at the stage left..
den posed the same question to the right side audience...
and obviously ppl were shouting "yes yes yes..."
haha...
but still, we were not assured!!!
finally the mc say
"well..den u guys...
GET TO WATCH THEM AGAIN IN SEMI-FINAL!!!"
OHMYGOSH...
i relly gt very stunned by this!!!
i mean...i'm like so prepared for the worst...
n it turned out to be so...GREAT!!!
*phew*
haha

got briefing with the judges...
as usual..
they commenting generally on the overall...
then point out our individuals mistake...
but when it's our turn...
they said there were nothing much to comment bout our performance(btw..they even use our performance as a good learning example for the others!!!haha)...
except, i'm still dressing too raine-kinda-cute!!!

shd dress abit more mature(but not too over) to complement maveric!!!
haha
well...for dressing dat part...i seriously DID MY BEST le!!!

i mean...u cant blame me for being born with a 'cute look' right?!!!

anyway...will spend more effort to find a more suitable clothing for semi-final!!!

after everything...
went over cineleisure to hav dinner at long john silver...
with mave, klenn, christy, sheryl, kelly and jack jack!!!
haha..
long time nv eat with them le...
kinda miss the feeling...
somehow it was abit different fr the last time...
but still,i treasure n appreciate it!!!
more of such hang out k???

well...
to be honest, was kinda disappointed yesterday though...
was tryin to find farmiliar faces(except mave's fren n TI ferns) among the crowd...
but...guess i was hoping too much le!!!
the best performance ever i had...
yet none of them is there to watch it...
i understand dat some gtpw to do...
n other plan...
but wat bout the rest???
i mean...y muz see whether if he/she got go???
am i not ur fren too???
y cant juz come down to support...even if it mean...alone?!!
haiz...
ok...
i'm nt blaming anyone here...
but i realise when i most needed support, none make the effort...
i mean...
ok not all time...but like yesterday...
i dont need vote or watever it is...but at least i really hope to share this great fantastic performance with them!!!

seeing how supportive klenn and christy are(klenn went to mave hse on sat to finish up the props for us till over midnight...den christy is always there for mave regardless when n where)...
i suddenly kinda envious mave having such great frens man!!!
n i told him to really treasure them well!!!
haha

anyway...
still wanna thanks everyone who made the effort to come down yesterday...
klenn, christy, welson, sheryl, kelly, eric, yuresh, man ting, mave's itune frens(shuzhen n co.), mave's family...
a million thanks for supporting!!!
